Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and reside in Sydney, Australia.
I have a 2004 Pug 2 door Triptronic convertible.
Am having probs with the roof not closing, and more to the point trying to find (which on all the videos I have watched) what is meant to be a toggle to release the shelf.
My car dosent appear to have the toggle and my car manual does not specify a toggle release - even if the pics. It is telling me to use the alan key to release the shelf.
When I put the Allen key into the place they are suggesting, there dosent seem to be anything there.
My manual on page 120 says the following: (after step 1 of turning the pressure release a 1/4 turn to left):
"Go to the rear left of the vehicle then take the moving shelf 5 (meaning pic 5) in your left hand.
With your right hand, insert the Allen key into the opening (6) fully (shelf release).
Tilt the assembly downwards while supporting the shelf.
Remove the Allen key and place it outside the boot.
Let go of the shelf which will tilt completely."
Can anyone tell me where I meant to be putting the Allen key in the shelf unit or am I meant to just place it in the hole as a support?
Also if I cant manage to manually get the roof up, is it a Auto Electrician I am meant to take it to for them to manually fix it?
Cheers

Re: Shelf toggle... or not?
You use it to lift the sliding ram mechanism to release the shelf. (Put it in and lift)
As regards repair- You need some one who is familiar with this type of roof. Most auto electricians probably won't be.
