seat movement issue

Hi

New member here from Hereford!

My wife has an 05 206cc 1.6. She totally loves this car but it has an issue with the seats. For no apparent reason they will suddenly shoot forwards or backwards, giving the driver a shock as well as squishing anyone sat behind. More improtantly i see this as a safety issue when your driving. Anyone else had this? is there a fix or is it a really bad design flaw?

If this happens only after you've moved the seat then this has happened to us occasionally and just means that you haven't managed to lock it properly in place after adjusting its position. Read the your owner's manual on how to move the seat. Pages 62 & 63. Don't be rough with it.

If it happens constantly then something may have broken and a search on the forum will reveal several threads on the subject.
