Help please.
I just recently purchased a 206 cc and was screwed over a little.
The seller told me the tyres needed replacing but rather than do it himself knocked
off the value of 2 new tyres(even though he worked in a garage, he said he couldn't get them!)
Anyway I've now taken the car to 3 garages as the locking nut on one is too damaged to be removed, the last being Peugeot who came back with we can't remove the locking wheel nut and we can't offer any help!
Now I have one illegal tyre!
Can anyone offer any advise please?

See if you can find a local wheel repairer - they come across this problem quite often.
The first option that they go for is a sort of impact driver.
The second is to drill a hole in the stud and tap out with a left hand taper thread (like a stud extractor, but tougher) - this option is usually the most successful.
The third is to weld a piece of bar to the stud and apply heavy wrench to the extended stud.
Beyond this it gets very messy i.e. cutting the wheel off the stud and welding metal back into the wheel.
Good Luck.

Re: Newby member needs help!! Locking nut issue
Another option may be to drive a socket onto the end of the locking bolt and see if that removes it with an impact wrench ... I'd probably use an Impact-style socket, but it does depend a lot on the type of locking nut used. The standard Peugeot ones will not be easy as they have very little to bite onto.
Assume that the socket and locking bolt will both be bin-fodder after!
I future:
a) copper-grease all bolt threads before replacing them
b) use a torque-wrench to tighten them not an impact driver or leaving a try-bay gorilla to swing on the socket bar!
