Newly acquired CC
Hi all my names Mandy and I have just bought a 2001 1.6 peugeot 206cc. The car came with no history but using my feminine charms I have managed to find some details about previous owner and history of car which is reassuring. The car was bought in 2012 with the intention of driving it to Spain and it was bought off eBay which would have meant full details of car being listed. Just wish I could find ad to find out if cambelt has been changed. The car has been sat for last 18 months and I have had new exhaust fitted today. Car needs some tlc and I'm more than happy to do it. Only 24 hours and I love love love it

Hi Mandy and welcome.
If you are not sure about cambelt, get in done pronto. Make sure you read the do's and don't about using the roof, as a lot of roof problems we see here are self inflicted.

Hi Col
Thank you for your swift reply , the cam belt is due to be down in next week. I have just read about roof arghhhhhhhhhh scary. I think I need to get a book or a friendly 206 mechanic to teach me what to do. I live in bucks ( high wycombe) is there anyone you can recommend
Thank you
Mandy

Basically to operate the roof, start engine, make sure boot blind is across and operate the roof in one continuous operation. Do not let go of switch until you get the "finish" confirmation chime and don't operate anything else whilst the roof is in motion. Do not stop halfway and change direction. Do a search on this site and you will find a downloadable owners manual.
Cheers Col.

Re: Newly acquired CC
Hi Mandy, I live there too - and there is nobody I can recommend. However, if its parts that you need, then I have found that Worleys (opposite Beaconsfield Arms in Hughenden Road) are very good and amazingly quick for non-stock items. They are Citroen but don't advertise their Peugeot connection too well. The nearest Peugeot is Hughes of Beaconsfield - very expensive as they used to be Jaguar and Mercedes. The Peugeot dealership keeps changing in this area. I am always asking other local 206 owners where they get their servicing done, and invariably the answer is their son, husband or friend that does it.
