I was calmer today as I knew it was likely to fail ... and didn't!

But then I do use a really good bunch who know I do my own work so realise they won't get more money out of me by failing it for minor things. So the tiny tear in the o/s/f balljoint was mentioned and they know I will get that swapped out asap.

Now have to decide whether to go for GTI type arms as the CC keeps destroying the big rubber mountings in the front arms .. probably not helped by our appalling roads and the multiple sleeping policemen my daughter has to traverse everyday to get home ...

Had to re-seat the o/s dipped beam bulb ... I tried several times before but it just would not seat, and the gungum on the middle silencer fell out on the way up .. so they just did the test in a different order. While it was up in the air and they checked the suspension, etc, I was applying copious quantities of exhaust gunk ... ;)

We also tried, in vain, to work out where the rear suspension is creaking .. I've sprayed up all the obvious joints including the top and bottom shock bushes, but she still creaks and moans ... any one else have this? Not helped probably that Kermit's early life was in Dundee ... I imagine being close to the Tay and coast was the reason most of her undersides are orange! :?
