Roof frustration
Hi newbie here does any one live in dorset with a copy of Peugeot planet as I have trawled every where reading up on the roof problems tried all sequences and hit a dead end getting desperate..basically the roof beeps over 5 miles an hr the roof opens and closes fine.. I get no bongs I have to put the windows down manually as the roof switch does not do this automatically if I could silence the beep I would be happy as I say I've tired all solutions ...now need a diagnostic by some one but not Peugeot appreciate that many posts have been posted but I've tried and I'm desperate now so if some one is local in dorset would appreciate their help....2001 206 2.0 petrol cc. Many thanks.......

Re: Roof frustration
If your roof is working OK, it may be handbrake warning you are hearing. To be clear, do you get a bong at the end of open / close cycles? Do you get the beep with roof up and down or just one or the other?
Cheers Col.

Re: Roof frustration
Hi ....I don't get any bongs at all opening or when closed just the continuous beeping the motor just keeps going. I've tried the battery disconnect and the manual roof reset also the rear screen heater not working wondering if that's tied into it think I read somewhere that it is....when I turn the engine off then no beeps until I get 5miles hr".......

Re: Roof frustration
Couple of things to try.
Hydraulic oil level
Check the roof open & closed micro switches in the boot (I&K)

Re: Roof frustration
HI
I live in West Dorset and do have the software . However you may want to check the micro switches front left and right. you should be able to hear a bleep when both latches are un locked , Disconnect battery and the connectors to the micro switches. Meter across the switches and and see if when opening and closeing the latches that they work.If one of these are faulty it would send a message to the car cpu that the roof is not closed but would allow the roof to open and close normally.( if you hear the warning when driving with the roof down it is unlikely to be them .its likely to be one of the micro switches at the rear on left or right.
hope this helps .
Regards Morris
