Hi All,
Bought my CC back in January. Then about two weeks later I started getting a "AUTOMATIC GEARBOX FAULT" warning on my display. Brought it back to the garage, they tore it down and found "a" leak - they didn't give any more info - repaired it and gave it back to me.
I took it out on a test drive, got it up to 50, loud clunk and then car wouldn't go any faster the 45 mph and was revving at 4000. Brought it back to them.
They sent it to an auto specialist who have been looking at it on and off for the past week. They hooked it up and got, the much read about, "Incorrect gear/speed ratio" error. This was last Tuesday. They have obviously been tinkering with it since and to be honest I can't really remember exactly what they have said each time I've called but it is now supposedly going to have the oil and oil filter changed. The car has done 108K (and a bit) miles. They said that if this doesn't fix the problem then it'll need a new gearbox.
Sorry to rant but it's really getting on my nerves at this stage. The garage I bought it from seem slow as anything to fix the issue, similarly their "specialist" isn't being particularly fast.... I should have it back tomorrow OR Thursday.
Hopefully that will be the end of it.
