Re: Oil warning light
Might not have a buzzer but the big "STOP" will flash up on the dash and 'ping' ... should have a low oil warning light too.

Re: Oil warning light
That should light up when he turns on the ignition, and stay on until he starts car ... and go out when the engine fires.
If it comes back on when running it SHOULD trigger the STOP warning in the dash ... and ping at him.
If the pressure switch leaked then it may not have been getting full pressure so should have come on. If it didn't (or isn't working**) then running it on low oil will not have been good for the bearings ...
** there are some "people" (and I use that term loosely here) who knowing a car has an oil pressure issue remove or fit a duff oil pressure bulb in the dash .. it's not always obvious to a lot of people that there should be one when you first test drive it ... some newer cars now have a soldered in LED to prevent that ...

Well I have to say the engine is running well bit tappy but it starts first time all the time when I get a minit I'll have a look at the bulb as it's never come on, my boy only been driving short while but keeps an eye on things under the bonnet hence how I know he had an oil leak (dad can u look at my car lol)
