Broken roof

Post by Cheekya069 »

Help!!!!

I need to sell my beloved 206cc and the roof no longer works. I undo the clip and get the beep, I then press the button and in just beeps for a couple of seconds then stops, the roof does not move. So far I have replaced the following:
Boot cover microswitch
Operation switch
Handbrake cable
Ecu

This is very frustrating as a beautiful car but worthless with a broken roof. I live in Lincoln and I can only find a Peugeot main dealer who does not reply to my emails.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Try phoning the main dealer. They are much more comfortable talking to people.

You will find plenty of advice on here about your roof though.

could be the boot blind microswitch on the left side of the boot where the blind clips in to, or the boot latch microswitch. Check their operating (clicking)

As long as water isn't falling out of the sky, the roof can be down.

Can you get to the North end of Nottingham? I've got Peugeot Planet 2000 so could do a diagnostic on it, which should at least tell you exactly what's stopping it from operating.
Then, if it's just a sticky micro-switch we may even be able to free it up and fix it.
