alloy studs

Post by vindiesel »

Hello to you All, ive recently purchased a set of alloys to put on my 2000 5 door pug, as the alloys didnt come with studs, im wondering if the studs available on flee bay are the correct ones, any advice would be very much appreciated. pls see pics, the studs are of the flat variety, which im sure are the correct ones.
many thanks in advance.

The wheel bolts shown look correct. They have the loose washer which will bear on the flat surface at the bottom of the holes of the alloy wheels, and the bevel which bears on the different profile holes of a space saver steel wheel if and when you ever use one.

Just make sure when you get the wheels on that the bolts are not too long. Turn the wheel by hand while you've still got it jacked up to ensure that the end of the bolts are not fouling on anything. It is a bit late if you drive off only to find out that the bolts ARE too long as you could do some expensive damage.

My old Mercedes C class used to have different bolts to use whenever the steel spare was used http://mercedes-190.co.uk/topic/6625629/1/ but the proper Peugeot bolts are cleverly designed to work with both their alloys and their steel wheels.
