Anti Pollution Fault code

Post by petethepond »

My Wife has just started useing her 206cc that we bought in December and she wanted to set the trips to indicate mileages /fuel consumption etc, so she tried what it said in the owners manual (pushing the buton on the end of the wiper stalk], but ALL the dials and gauges just stopped working !

I presume its just a fuse that has blowm (weird) but when she starts the car the dash displays "Anti Pollution Fault"

I hav'nt checked the fuses yet but i hope someone out there can enlighten us as to what this could be!

Anti pollution isn't likely to be related to trip meter functions which, as you say, check the fuses.
There is loads & loads of info about Anti pollution fault (APF) Use the search facility above, and if it doesn't make sense, come back to this thread and we will try to help

You can get these spurious random faults when the battery is on its last legs.

The car has sat since we bought it Mid December, although i have started it once a week to keep it ok.
It was only driven yesterday for the 1st time since then, but it always started 1st time every time and the battery hasnt seemed to be low or run down.

Possibly just getting back into being driven.

Typical tempremental french !
