annoying noise from roof

Post by greyfox88 »

I have a problem with my roof.

It makes an annoying noise when I open and close it during the whole operation opening or closing. However it works normally. The noise sounds like too sluggish to open. Really audible.

Any suggestion?

Battery on it's last legs? Try doing it with the engine running.

They aren't exactly a quiet roof to operate.
Groans & moans seem normal.

If you mean the deep 'whuring' noise, that's the hydraulic pump and is normal.

As long as water isn't falling out of the sky, the roof can be down.

can you describe the noise? 'Annoying' and 'too sluggish to open' dont give us much to go on. :)

This is *normal*

Skip to 1 minute in for going down then skip to 2 mins to see going up.

A very useful video Col - that confirms mine is the same, when you first try it it seems a bit slow and creaky.
