Boot is closed, but central display is saying otherwise

Post by GP-F »

2002 1.6cc s owned from new with 90k.
The car is acting as though a door/boot/bonnet is open.

The central display is highlighting the boot being open (its closed)

The stop light is flashing & bleeping, but the doors, bonnet & boot are all closed.

The roof opens & closes as it should.

The doors can be locked with the key but will not lock with the remote ( they try & it bleeps as though the doors are not closed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ASAP, I assume i'm looking at a broken switch of sorts? :(
THANKS!

Simple adjustment of the latch inside the boot sorted the very same problem.

All sorted, sticking boot microswitch below striker, 2 mins & wd40 & its all good. No need to adjust the striker.
