Need a code for radio

Post by Porkchop1 »

Hi guys, I'm new to all this so apologies if I'm in the wrong section of the forum etc.
I've had my beloved peugeot 206 for over 2 years now (Y reg) and it recently had a new clutch installed. This resulted in my radio/CD player being switched off and now it is asking for a code.
It's not in my handbook and I can't find it in any manuals. I've done all of the advisories online without any luck.
The model is PU-2325A(B) and it's serial number is CL0410Z0131241.
Can anyone help with the code? Or help me with a way of finding out what it could be.
I don't want to go to a garage not knowing what to ask for or get ripped off.
Any help would be much appreciated as I'm missing my radio on my work commute!
Thanks!!

Try on peugeotforums .. there are a few people there that can get your code for less than the dealers ... but hope that it is the original radio ... if it's been swapped out, it will be hard to find.

Are we talking about a CC here?
Because if we are then the code is the VIN number, which needs programming back in with Peugeot Planet 2000.
As Gazza says though, you may have more chance on peugeotforums of finding someone local to you who can re-programme it - particularly as you haven't told us where you are! ;)

PU-2325 is the old radio/cd ... pre-2002 and has a code that is entered through the buttons.

As long as it's the original there are a few guys on PeugeotForums that can work out the code from the VIN no. But they still charge a small amount ... less than the stealers though!

Some information off another website

"Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code that can be calculated (using a serial number ) anywhere on the Internet is if your
radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + + + on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
(Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop
to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio."
Ex 206 CC'er.
Loved every minute...well nearly!
