hello people :)

Post by Rekkymech »

Just a quick hello and introduction, I'm steve (rekkymech a long standing online tag based on a an old job role as a recovery mechanic).

Recent purchase of an Mot failed 2003 (52 plate) 206cc has lead me here as I have gotten to know the wifes new car I have a few questions in a hope of finding some local knowledge :) I am a mechanic by trade and up until recently worked as a hgv tech for Merc Benz and have quite an amount of training on electrical diagnosis under my belt, which has stood me well after the roof failed to close two days after mot'ing it, but an errant microswith on parcel shelf found and refitted all is good.

The car is now Mot'd with a new bottom arm and a new abs sensor both n/s/f strangely enough, so for less than a grand and apart from a scrape from a gate post on the o/s/r quarter between the door and the rear arch I feel I have done well and has me a shed load of brownie points for wedding anniversary this weekend.

Speak soon I hope, please look out for my posts about ignition live relays and stuff as its curious one even for me so hoping for a peugeot boffin to help out

Regards

Rekky

Ps I now work nights as a self employed lorry driver so quite likely find my posts are at funny times, its sad but true that u can earn more cash drivem than u can fixing em so here I am.......
