Got a 53 1.4 petrol, inherited a lovely issue with it where am just about to search forums for info, fan runs from start up, temp guage shoots to red, engine stop message comes up, and on fault reader says coolant temp is -40.. So nice and easy start to 206 ownership. Otherwise sound car solid underneath, few dinks, lowish miles (97k) so will be most pleased when issue sorted. Thanks for ad'

Re: newbie
It is a 206cc forum, but we do try and help fellow Pug owners as a lot of the components and issues are the same.
Cheers Col.

Re: newbie
bertone19, I'd be wondering about the water pump and cooling system on your car. Your car is 10 years old with 97k on the clock. Have the timing belt, pulleys and water pump been renewed yet? If not I'd get that done with an engine and radiator flush at the same time, followed by refilling with fresh coolant anti-freeze mix. It is probably clogged up with crud if it hasn't been done yet.
