Recently bought a 206 cc (2005 registered) 2nd hand from a dealer. After driving the car for a week, realized a few faults which a few car mechanic couldn't solve.
1. each time when I turn the steering wheel too much to the left/right, the headlights flashed on for 3 sec together with the wiper swiping, and sometimes switched my radio channel to the next preset, then back to normal again when i drive on a straight road. Sounds weird isn't it? People that walked pass my vehicle thought that I high-beamed them.
2. a sudden jerk in the vehicle when I brake to a complete stop (it happens sometimes... and it could be a pretty hard jerk sometimes - feels like a stalled engine but isn't) and when driving off on auto "D" mode, a bit slow in reaction due to the jerk
3. this is a major one: when driving today, the gearbox didn't seem to change gear for me. I was rev-ing throughout my journey travelling only at gear 1. I stopped by the road side, off the engine and tried meddling with the gears from "P" to "D" numerous times, then go to manual mode and drive off using that, and 5 mins through the journey, the electronic kicks back to "D" mode on its own, and was stuck at gear 1 again only. I called a tow-truck then....
the rest seems fine, aircon is still working, roof and windows are fine.... anybody could help or face these same issues?
