Re: Newbies pare tyre question
No, Sarah, you don't need run-flats ... in fact you can't fit them as they need special wheels.
The 206CC didn't have a spare as this normally sits under the rear in a cage. But this is taken up with the body reinforcing bars and a steel box. Some owners buy a space saver and wheel cover and put it behind the front seats, but that's a choice only you can make. A spare is too high to sit under the boot "blind" though, so you can't put the roof down then.
You get an aerosol tyre-sealer in somewhere like Halfords and use that in an emergency. Check the size though as they come in three sizes ... think the CC needs the largest size.
When you get your new tyres, put them on the REAR!!! The tyre fitters should do this for you but it's the recommended way as you may find the rear end gets lively in the wet. There is little weight anyway so you want the rear end to grip.
I'll have to wait for my daughter to pop around in her CC to check out the door problem. Can't visualise it at the moment ...
And welcome to the forum!

Re: Newbies pare tyre question
We bought a space-saver spare which lives in the rear seat belted in behind the driver. A space-saver spare can be kept in the boot and will fit under the blind so you can use your roof. It takes up important boot space though, hence why ours lives in the rear seat.

Re: Newbies pare tyre question
Thank you guys you have been very helpful, I've just looked on eBay for a space saver wheel :-) will buy the aerosol tyre sealer incase I have just a puncture as being disabled I cannot change the wheel myself and if the tyre were to tear I will have the spare wheel/tyre, the AA man can pop on for me, can anyone suggest a stereo with good base sound and iPhone connection? Any thanks for all your help.

Re: Newbies pare tyre question
I personally don't like the idea of not having a spare,so I bought one from ebay for the grand sum of £10
Turned out the seller lived 5 miles away and it was brand new (still has the bobbles on the tyre!!)
Have you checked in the little box in the boot, you may have 2 cans of the gunk in there already?
Before buying anywhere the can of gunk is only about £8 from Peugeot

You'll need the 15" space saver as fitted to the GTI models, etc

You can download the handbook from this site, so you at least will have a copy in PDF format to refer to, until you can pick up one off the Bay of e.
