roof reacts very slowly :\

Post by xrover »

Hello everyone
I have a Peugeot 206CC 206 and recently the roof reacts very slowly
When I open it the windows down and everything is fine but the roof is opened (and closed) very, very slowly, it takes almost 2 minutes just to open and close in two minutes and sometimes he stopped in the middle of the action and then continues.

Can anyone tell what the problem is?
Might need to oil the hinges?

Thank assistants and forgiveness for my bad English :)

Are you running the engine or just on the battery??? Running the engine is the best way as it takes a lot of power and you battery might not be in the best condition unless it is fairly new.

Otherwise are the hinges, etc clean and gently oiled? I'd avoid WD40 as this tends to damage rubber seals, etc over time (regardless of what it says on the tin!). Normal light oil like 3 in 1 is good (if you can get that where you are).

So you're saying that it probably hinges, they never oiled Maybe this is the problem
I'm just afraid to open it again and not completely destroyed.

There is a link or pictures where to oiled the hinges and what hinges ?
