Nightmare time - Engine Management Light - HELP

Post by Chaos91 »

Hi, had my pug (2003) for six months. The last month has been hell:

- needed new front arm - done
- engine stopped and management light came on while driving, code presented a failure with the lambada - got a new one and it was replaced
- car cut out and engine management light on - needed a new injector rail - done
- car sounded like it was rattling, checked and the wires on the BRAND new lambada were fried and needed a new manifold - got both replaced
- then broke down on the motorway, mechanic came out and my fuel line had been disconnected! Fixed it back up but then broke down that evening. Petrol gauge was a quarter full, AA had to tow me home, put a gallon of fuel In the next day and started first time... Tank was empty and gauge had stuck.

Now the engine management light it's back on permanently - no flashing, the car feels like its severely lacking power on acceleration and my fuel consumption is through the roof. Garage has no idea what's wrong.

Thinking about just scrapping it! Ideas??

You need to get the codes read and post them here, then we can guide you. Who has done the previous work?
Cheers Col.
