Intermittent light (head/indicator) problem
Hi guys
I have a 03 206cc the lights go on and off when I turn them on, sometimes I've to make sure the indicator is def working as they stop too, Dad said it could be that the whole dash is broke as not just the lever for turning the lights on and it's pretty expensive to replace the lot, anyone else have the same problems?

1.6litre or 2.0 litre
Mileage?
Last serviced?
Maybe the comms unit (google it). Headlights and indicators do strange things! When was your car battery replaced? might maybe worth having it checked out. Many places offer free battery testing. I experienced one of my indicators not working recently and thought it was the start of a comms issue but it wasn't. It was the headlight connectors were not connecting correctly so maybe worth a look to rule out.

Hey,
Thanks for reply, it's a 1.6
Mileage 079745 and just had it serviced
But that you mention the batter it could be the
At is it isn't great, I wouldn't be able to leave the flashing lights on or the radio on while the car isn't running for long or I'd have to call the breakdown assist guys (trust me its happened)
I will get the battery tested, can't imagine it will cost too much
Will revert back after I have that sorted.
The other problem is the horn works when it wants to, I'm convinced I have a herbie on my hands!

Re: Intermittent light (head/indicator) problem
If the battery is suspect do make sure that when you fit a new one you follow the correct battery disconnect and reconnect procedures. (See in your owners manual and search on this forum).
Ensure that the new battery is the correct one for the car. It should be 190mm high. If someone has replaced it with the cheaper one for the hatchback it will only be 175mm high. That would place an extra strain on the terminals and can cause loss of continuity. I obtained a new one recently from Bosch Car Batteries - an Exide 079TE EA530. £59.99 including delivery. Took a week to arrive but fitted and works perfectly.
