Hello all,
My wife has a 54 plate cc. All was fine then the roof started playing up. It works for a while then won;t go up so I have to maually raise it. It beeps constantly too when it is playing up. This is normally caused by going over a bump. Sometimes many bumps can be gone over an it causes no problem then one little one and the beeping starts and you know the roof won;t work.
So I was doing the manual close earlier and got the roof up fine. I then had the boot open and was trying to secure the part which has the white tip on it, next to the white catches when I noticed a switch on the left side (switch J according to the diagram on here). It seems when the boot locks shut it is just barely activating this switch and locking the boot in its normal place. This would also fit with going over a bmp and it disengaging the switch. What I do not know is what I am supposed to do, nothing looks broken or damaged.
Any ideas?
Much appreciated
Chris

Try loosening the screws and moving it slightly.
