Roof Wont Open Plus Beeping Noise When Driving

Hello everyone,i'm a new member to this site however im a motor trader & sell quite a lot of 206cc's. Whenever we've had any problems i always come on here to find the soloutions.

Now i realise this has probebly been asked a thousand times but we're having trouble with the roof on a 2004 1.6 'Quicksilver' 206cc we've brought. It is vertually Mint condition,has full service history, 50k on the clock & just the one lady owner from new so its been well looked after.

Firstly the roof wont open. After unlocking the two roof clips you get the one bleep but when pressing the roof switch we're getting the constant bleeping. I Have checked that blind in the boot is connecting with boot sensor & even wrapped a bit of tape round it but to no avail. Today it went to our mechanic but he couldnt find the problem however when i drove it home the constant bleeping came on over 20mph & was on all the while till i went back under 20mph. Is that conected with the roof in anyway???

I Have read similar threads stating check roof sensors, ECU's etc, but where exactly are they? Ive got an auto electrician coming to have a look at it so it'll help knowing where everything is for him to check as i dont think hes done one before.

Another thing is the gearbox needs replacing,could this be linked in any way to the other problems?

It may be that it hasn't *seen* that the blind is across

Is that conected with the roof in anyway???It could be, but just as easily could be something else such as a warning for handbrake on. Did you have any warning lights on dash?

You could always try a manual down/up as this sometimes sorts them out
