Hi!
ihave a striped thread in the aluminim sump on my 206cc 1.6
it is the oil drain hole any suggestions

new sump needed/re-tap bigger thread, either way the sump has to come off so might aswell put a new one on

Try helicoiling it Use heavy grease on the drill and taps to catch the swarf.

i still advise taking the sump off to clean it as there will be fillings sitting at the bottom of the sump from the thread as it will be pushed in by the helicoil (seen it done trust me).
