Hi All, my first post so please bear with me.
I have a 206 14hdi sw, it had a blowing injector so i had my local garage (not peugeot) sort it out. they took all four injectors out and re-seated them with new washers and while it was in i had them change the timing belt. my problem is now it has no go in it. when i told them they said the timing belt was out by three teeth and that they marked it and replaced it as it was (three teeth out) as they were concerned that to move it by that amount may well damage the motor. the car ticks over sweet but come to an incline and it just slows right down in fact i was on the m25 foot flat down in 5th and 55mph was all i could manage. what do you guys think any advice would be much appreciated.

I would take it to a garage that know what they're doing. It probably wouldn't run with 3 teeth out. 1 is bad enough!! Have you got any warning lights up?
Cheers Col.

no warning lights, I've been going to this garage for the last 30 years and they've never let me down before so would like to give them the chance to sort it, as they said it was 3 teeth out to start with. could it be the throttle position sensor? as if i put my foot down hard on the throttle and then let off the revs hardly move at all!
oh and HI and thanks for the quick response.

1.4 hdi shouldn't be difficult to re-time but you will need to take the belt off again. It's a bolt through the bell housing into the flywheel to get tdc and lining up the cam. I've changed one once and it was the first one I did. Haynes manual is great for this engine.

air intake sensor not working or not connected. they might have disconnected it to do the belt and forgot to connect it back up.

they checked the intake sensor that's working, he said he will change the four seals on the head (i think) as he did not replace them before. i think it's something to do with making sure the turbo is not losing pressure in the intake side. if that makes sense to you. as i said before not mechanically minded at all.
