Barnsley girl needs help with roof :-(

Post by lisanlolamae »

Is there anyone out there in Barnsley who can help with my pug 206cc roof. It jst duz not wrk, full stop. I got a constant beeping, paid £85 for Peugeot to diagnose a problem with my roof regulator?? Then I get told that the roof doesn't av a regulator!! My dad wrkd out tht the white u clips were not hooking dwn into plc n holding the roof dwn so stuck a peg in each side which stopped the beeping. Then the sun came out so I decided to take the pegs out n try the roof, yes it came dwn but wud not for life of it go bk up. So I ad to go on you tube n follow the instructions step by step to manually put up ma roof. Again the pegs ad to go bk in to hold the white u clips in plc. Am gutted, y?? Whats going off?? £450 Peugeot want to mend it :-( someone please help me

This is a similar problems to yours from the look of it ...

http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13944

there are lots of microswitches and it only takes one or two to be broken or not registering properly to stop the roof. I'd start with the two at the front on the windscreen and the one on the pull out boot cover.

Have a look at that thread and the images, etc ... see if that helps.

If you need any parts contact peugeot206ccspares via ebay ... they have always got lots of 2nd hand roof parts in stock.

Good luck!

PS I'm dreading the day my daughter calls me with those immortal words " Daddy .... the roof ... " ;) Although I've just had to replace the operating switch which snapped off!

Watch the video (the bit where they use an allen kex to release pressure) use the allen key and turn it clockwise till you feel it "nip up" then try the roof again.
Cheers Col.
