Interior upgrade questions

Post by Enright »

I have just a few quick questions about interior changes, as my other half’s 206 CC Sport has a bog standard cloth trim, which I'm about to replace with a lovely grey leather set from a slightly older Allure:

Firstly, about the lock on the glove-box handle: How do you change the lock barrel without damaging either the glove-box lid, the lock or the handle? I can’t find any fasteners and don’t want to force anything apart.

Secondly the side airbag system: The Sport’s basic seats have no wires going to them, but the Allure’s nice leather ones have multi-plugs underneath leading to the airbags and possibly seatbelt pre-tensioners. I want to get these to work (as I like things to operate as designed), but would this mean a transplant of the Allure’s SRS wiring loom with all the extra bits (and then programming), or are the necessary plugs simply taped-up under the Sport’s carpet?

And lastly: I’ve noticed that the Allure’s grey trimmed door cards have door locking buttons poking out of the top of them, whereas the newer Sport’s door cards are blank. I don’t want to leave gaping holes in the nice new door cards, or have to have ugly blanking plugs showing. Would it mean a change of lock mechanism at the same time as the door cards, or can I just add the plungers with the buttons on?

Ta! :D

Neil. ;)

Lock- No idea
Airbags- Need the loom to fit and reprog airbag module
Door cards- Just fit the rods with the knobs on to existing lock. Little bracket should be there
Cheers Col.
