In Australia, for the CC to be roadworthy the car is sold with a child seat. I can post the details when I get home tonight, but it is manufactured in Australia. Also, as part of the Australian rules two anchor points (that the seat connects to) have been added under each of the two rear hoops (you might just be able to make them out in my pictures owner 248 - they're right in the centre of each hoop).

Not sure if this is much help. You may have to end up making a modification to have an anchor point such as our CC's have here. Will happily snap pictures for you if needed.

I remember this coming up on the Forum some time ago, but the member who looked into it couldn't seem to fit a baby seat in the back. Looking at those back seats, they do look a little small for a baby seat so I'll be looking at Frosty's pictures with interest, tho I don't have any babies as far as I am aware anyway.

I'll snap a few extra's so the fastening point is clearer - current pictures posted aren't too clear.

Frosty,
The child supplied by Peugoet is for use with the front passenger seat only.

Quote: (attract from my manual)

"Isofix" mountings,
Available on the front passenger seat, the Isofix mountings allow for fitting of a SPECIAL CHILD SEAT, sold by Peugeot dealers.
The locks incorporated in the child seat fit onto the Isofix mountings and ensure safe, reliable and fast assembly.
In the front, the child seat must be fitted in the "rear facing" position for childen weighting less the 29lbs (13kg).
In exceptional cases, the child seat maybe fitted in the 'forward facing' position if the rear seats are already occupied by other childen. In this case, use the Isofix mountings, the strap and the seat belt and adjust the font passenger seat to the "mid-travel" position.

Blimey, Peugeot supply a child?
Actually, it's not a requirement to use Isofix mountings for a child seat (particularly as they're a recent innovation). If you can get one that fits I see no problem with putting one in the rear secured by the normal seatbelt (i.e. the way child seats were secured before Isofix came along)

Trung,
Don't want to depress you but my mate had to sell his 206cc because he couldn't get a child seat in the back? Peugeot definitely do a baby seat, which fits in the front thou. The front passenger seat has ISO fixing points, which the baby seat clips into. The problems occur when you have to lug around all the accompanying paraphernalia i.e. buggy, carrycot etc etc.

p.s Please don't forget that the passenger airbag must be disabled if a baby seat is fitted in the front.

Rich, I never mention anything about it fitting in the back seat...

I got a free babyseat (like every other ozzie cc owners). Its now back in the backyard shed. I don't know what to do with it cos it just wasting more space. I can't sell it cos I need it to re-sell with my CC (very unlikely for many years yet, maybe when 207cc arrives).

I don't have a child and not looking for one for a long time.

How can we get a definitive answer on this? This could be a show-stopper for me

When taking my 3 year old nephew for a ride I simply used his ordinary seat which attached to the seat belt. It seemed to fit fine without any need for special Peugeot seats.

The only thing is my little fella is just 2years and the car seats have bars that will not fit in to the contoured seats an they have a big plastic base and i will still need a back on it to strap him in he is to small for the car belts.

Trung, what are the two fastening points mid way under each of the hoops? My understanding is that they were for the child seat. They are added to meet Australian specs. Even though the manual says that my understanding was that for Australia it needs to be in the rear because we do not allow a disarm switch for the airbag. I'll double check with my dealer and get back to you all.
Cheers
