Hello
I have just got a 206 quicksilver 1.6 HDI 16V.
As soon as you start the engine there is a knocking noise from under the steering weal/ fuse box area.
The noise is a very prominent quite a loud click/banging sound that does it 10 times then stops for the rest of the journey.
It doesn’t do it every time you start the engine, just about 80% of the time.
My mechanic is not worried about it and thinks it’s something to do with the climate control…. I think it’s annoying.
Any ideas what it is? and how to stop it?
