Hi have a peugeot 206 1.4 LX 2001, just purchased this car and the guy I bought it from gave me a new key with receipt with transponder code too. I got an auto electrician who told me the key was blocked, it has not had a bsi unit renewed and my ecu is ok. I telephone a Dundee peugeot dealer who was less than helpfull so this is why I am posting on this forum, can anyone help me what can be done.
I only have one key for the car and its not got buttons on it just a normal key that opens the doors, will turn on ignition but will not start.
Diagnostic check says key is blocked ?

Unfortunately you will need to get the car & key to somewhere that can code the key to the car (good diagnostic garage or Peugeot dealer.
If you bought the car from a trader, I would get them involved.

hi there thanks for the reply but it was a well known company i got the diagnostic check from, their check said all was ok but the key was block i am now looking into having my immobiliser bypassed

oh forgot to mention i purchased it cash on ebay as i needed a small car to get back and forward to work as my bmw is costing a fortune to run now the fuel prices have rocketed looks like its not gonna be that cheap

just for the record if anyone got problem like mine, I have purchased an ecu decode at £58 and sent ecu away came back plugged it in and it worked, I got quoted over a £1000 from Peugeot dealer it just show you
