Engine Immobilizer Fault one of my keys

Post by Godspeed »

Good Day

I bought 2002 Peugeot 206 cc 2 weeks ago and im having one problem with it
I have 3 keys to the car one is without the buttons and one with the A, B buttons.
Second key what has the buttons wont start the engine or open the central locks.
I changed the battery to it and when i try to start my car the computer says Engine Immobilizer fault
other keys works without any problems.

I would like someone tell me how i can get this key to work in my car again i think it has lost the chip memory. I found some thread about how to do it but i cant ignition the car because engine wont start or am i doing something wrong :|. The keys has no lights only two buttons

You'll need access to Peugeot Planet 2000 (the diagnostic software)

You'll have to re-link all three immobiliser chips to the car before you can try and get the remote locking to work again ...

And that is assuming

1) that the 2nd key that doesn't work is actually for the car and not just a spare with a new blade. Otherwise it will never link as you can't re-programme a chip that's already linked to another vehicle

2) your BSI unit accepts more that two keys .. some don't!

There are also a number of different key types.

There are a number of Peugeot-friendly guys around the UK who maybe able to help ... whereabouts are you based?
