Hi everyone,
I am completely new to the Peugeot clan and upon purchase of my first and gorgeous Peugeot 206 CC in January, I have had nothing but problems.
First the starter motor went after the first 3 weeks and since having this repaired (I also took the battery out and made sure it was fully charged during the repair process) my roof will not operate. I am doing everything right because prior to the repair of my car the roof worked fine! I have even sat with the manual and gone step by step but it makes the error beep at me as though something isnt right.
I am absolutely devastated because cannot afford to take it to peugeot for their diagnostic check (£65) only to then find out it probably needs repairing at a further cost.
Can anybody please help me... I dont know where Im going wrong and about to give up hope :-(
Are there any secrets that I dont know about that can help or maybe I should manually open the roof (not sure how though)
Thanks
Danielle x

No fuses blown?
Can you see the small microswitch for the boot pull-out cover (on the left cover "hook") ... just making sure it hasn't come off.
Sounds like it's got out of sync since the battery was off.
Whereabouts are you (roughly) ... there are a number of guys on one of the other 206 forums with access to Peugeot diagnostics ... and can check for a lot less than a dealer!

Hi, SOLVED. I had a similar problem. Roof beeping, windows won't operate when beeping etc. Just had a look at the daughters car. Opened the windows then the roof but I stopped it with the boot lid still up so I could see the mechanics. The passenger side "Bike Cable" had pulled the end off at the rear end so the "catch", at the rear seat end of boot lid, was not snapping in place. Carried on and closed the roof normally and opened the boot as normal and climbed inside. Pushed the catch up manually with a plastic end of screwdriver, nice click when it goes behind the white tipped catch. Now off to find a new cable!
P.S. It took longer to type this than find the fault!
