Hi everyone,

Post by toad »

I am new to this and presently, I am sitting in the sunshine & wind of Spain.
My problem is:

MY BOOTLID seems to have lost its capacity to lift so I am getting very muscular lifting it by hand.
Anyone out there had this problem?
Is it pneumatic? and does it need a dealer to do the job? [/color]

You need a new pair of gas struts. The job can be done by anyone with some mechanical knowledge and a basic tool kit. There are some threads on the forum as other members have already done that job and posted details, so why not use our search facility. The boot lid is very heavy and will need supporting while the job is done. Some lengths of stout wood could be used but it would be best to have an assistant if you are considering doing the job yourself.

Alternatively, why not get a quote from your local Peugeot garage. It shouldn't take them long.
