is it normal that doors lock when starting car?

hi,just a quickie i have a 206cc 2003 1.6 is it normal that when you start the car(not moving) you get a bong noise and the doors lock? i have only had the car for a few days and do not know if this is right or not.
thanks in advance.
just tried it again and its not bonged or locked this time :? maybe the sudden cold weather?

They can do that when battery is low.

thx capncol.went start the car this morning it would not start imobliser fault showing and disabled passenger airbag showing and doors locking still.brought a new battery@£59 all faults now gone and doors stay unlocked on start up.checked the old battery half the size of the new one made in 2002 lol older than the car 2003 looks like the seller swopped battery :mad: :censored: problem solved hope this helps someone else out.
