Key snapped in ignition

Grrrr, the key has been sticking for a while and has been difficult to retrieve from the ignition. I parked the cc in the garage and when I pulled the key out it was tuff as usual, but then when i tryed the stearing lock, well it would not lock, looked at the key and the end was missing, dowww!!
It had snapped jast at the point of where the small rectangle cut out is on the key.
Just phoned AA and they are going to come and collect the car in the morning, ive gota ring around and try and find a garage that is open for the job.
I dont know if this is going to cost me yet, i bloody hope not!!
I will keep posting on the progress, then at least if it happens to someone else they will know what to expect :sad:

i did that with my front door (house) 18 months ago - quite annoying - especially as i had to go in through the patio doors at the back and set the alarm off

the spare key for our 206 LX 5 months old has split gonna have to stick it with tape :sad:
