Re: Radiator Fan
Good, well done.
As for your 1.1 radiator, most of us here on the CC forum have 1.6 or 2.0 litre engines so will not be familiar with the layout of your 1.1 engine compartment. You can obtain a brand new Haynes manual for about £16 off eBay - seller: motoringbooksofbookham. Excellent service and cheaper than most other places.

Re: Radiator Fan
Why not stay with us. You might get a 206cc one day. And we'll try to help with any issues you may have with your hatchback in the meantime.
In general terms to remove your cooling fan you need to
1. Remove the front bumper.
2. Slacken & remove the 3 bolts & washers securing the cooling fan to the front panel. Recover the collar from the rear of each mounting rubber.
3.Free the fan assembly from the front panel to gain access to the wiring connector. Lift the retaining clip then disconnect the wiring connector and manoeuvre the fan assembly out of position.
If you need to remove your radiator as well:
In general terms to remove your radiator you need to
1. Disconnect the battery -ve lead (always advisable)
2. Unscrew the expansion tank filler cap. Drain the cooling system by loosening the drain plug or disconnecting the lower hose from the radiator.
3. Disconnect the wiring connector from the cooling fan switch fitted to the top of the radiator.
4. Release the retaining clips and disconnect the expansion tank hose, and the upper and lower coolant hoses from the radiator.
5. Slacken & remove the retaining screws securing the radiator upper mounting brackets to the front panel. Unclip both brackets from the panel and remove them from the radiator.
6. Carefully lift the radiator out of position, taking care not to damage the radiator fins. Recover the radiator lower mounting rubbers as you'll need them for reassembly.
Good luck.
