intermittent starting problem

i av just bought a y reg 206cc 2.0 ltr last week twice i have attempted to start it no lights on dashboard every thing completely dead put the jumpleads on and it started after 2 attempts but would not tick over for a few minutes tested battery showing just under 13amps and with engine running charging bout 14amps used it a few times in between problem and started and run as normal any ideas please

sorted now ,battery terminal seemed ok at the clamp but was loose and losing contact
