Hi,
I have a 206 roland garros Y Reg. I know this sounds stupid but it actually happened. I was trying to change a rear indicator bulb. I followed all the instructions but could not turn a bolt. the instruction suggested I use the wheel locking nut. This I did and managed to remove the bolt. HOWEVER- because my hands were so cold the locking nut slipped from my fingers and went down into the depths of the car. I cannot retieve it and many have tried. I am know without a wheel locking nut in case I need to change a wheel.
I tried using magnets etc etc.
Does anyone know if it is at all possible to get the dedicated whell locking nut associated with my car. Please help, Pete

You can get a replacement if you had made a note of the security code on it. But I wonder whether you are the methodical type to have done that.

Re: wheel locking nut/anti theft bolt missing.
Surprised not many helpful replies or even advice. No worries though. I thought I would post what I did which may be of help to others.
I went along to Peugeot dealers. They wanted my log book which I duly obliged. They then did something on a PC and told me that they had ordered a duplicate one from main Peugeot place in France. Cost me £34 plus VAT. Will take a couple of weeks to arrive.
Much better and cheaper than have some cowboy garage removing the bolts etc.
Hopefully this will help anyone who needs to replace on like me. many of us are not perfect like some and remember to note the security number printed on the anti-theft nut.
The moral to this story is..............All of you, right now!! make a note of that number on your wheel locking/anti-theft nut!!!!
regards,
Pete

Sorry for the lack of helpful replies but glad you got the replacement doofus. Thank you for taking the trouble to tell us the cost. I don't think I have a record of my locking nut number either but I'll check and make sure I do just in case

They are ripping you off then. The Peugeot dealer at Griffin Mill near Pontypridd orddered mine. May i suggest you contact them. I am sure they could arrange to order it and then get it posted to you.
They did tell me it would be a couple of weeks or so but turned out to be about 2 months- but that didn't bother me at all-- as long as I got the replacement locking nut!

Do you know the manufacturer of the bolts? I had the same issue with my Volvo a few months ago, the company they buy bolds from is called MCGuard (http://www.mcgard.de/en/home.html) based in Germany I think. It turns out I didn't have the security card/packet so they told me to send them a photo of the bolt head and within 2 days they sent me a replacement key and only charged me €18. Their were excellent.
Looking at the design of the bolts on my 206 they look the same so there is a strong chance it's the same company. their email address for customer services is: cs@mcgard.de, I spoke to a lovely lady called Miriam who was incredibly helpful.
