Hi all
I've started a project...
Im spraying parts of the interior of my car (door handles, etc) as I want the inside to have more of an "aluminium" look.
So far I've cleaned the surfaces & prepped them ready for priming...
I'm using Halfords Surface prep spray (a de-greasant).
I've then used the grey primer to seal the surface and even and lumps / bumps.
A couple of coats and a few hours later theyve been sprayed up lovely and are ready for the metallic silver spray followed by laquer - I'll let you know how i get on !
Any hints / tips welcome....
BTW - I seem to be really good at spraying - no runs at all so far... the trick is - thin and lots !!!

The doorhandles looks nice, but will the paint hold on the spots you take on many times every day??? Just wonder, have no experience with it myself.....

Bergen,
Hopefully the laquer will seal in the paint and preotect it from wear...
But only time will tell !!!

I git a quote for Lyndon to have all his interior plastic bits professionally sprayed for £60.
Saves a load of hassle.

If I had a hat I'd eat it !!
Put the newly sprayed bits back on today and it looked a*** - well maybe not that bad but it wasnt what I was after...
So I've gone with the suggestion above and re-sprayed them the same blue as the car...
I'll be laquering them up later this eve.
Take a look at
http://www.m275.com/style for the blue pics. (gimmie 10 mins to get them on !!)
