Problem with roof - possible pump issues

Post by rhinatron »

Evening all,

We've got a few issues with our roof going down. I've checked the boot microswitch and tried this with the engine running.

Basically, once we un-clip the latches we hear the 'beep', and when we press the roof switch the windows come down as per normal.

After the windows come down (switch still pressed down), there's a whirring noise in the boot which I think is the hydraulic pump, followed by a beeping noise and then nothing....

Previously due to a faulty switch, we tried to put the roof down manually which included de-pressurising the hydraulics using the allen key on the white thing in the boot. Do we need to re-pressurise this at all?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Yes. For automatic operation of the roof you need to retighten that allen bolt on the pump to re-pressurise.
