HELP,
I stopped the roof halfway down to clean the rear window and now it wont operate at all. The hydraulics slowly let the roof drop into the boot and the lid slowly closed too. but the lid does not lock as the solenoid does not operate. I have rqaised the roof manually and locked it but the boot lid still will not lock.
I am sure its because the roof operation has got out of sync, but i dont know how to reset it.
There is a continual beeping (not the loud one when roof operation complete) when I operate the roof switch
Any ideas please.

What was the problem Les?
This is one of the reasons why I never stop the roof mid operation.

it was definetley cos it got out of sync. Still dont know how i fixed it really , rasied the roof manually but couldn't lock boot lid down. found a clip on you tube showing manual lift and locking but the locking method didnt work for me , (turning the white clip on the locking mech thro' 45') so gently pushed lid down and used a screwdriver to push locking 'hook' under catch. Youtube showed the electrical method, but warned to use it carefully (but doesnt say why !!!!!! ). anyway thought i'd give it a go. hold both window switches down whilst turning on ignition, wait for bleeping to start, release switches and operate roof switch within 6 secs. It is supposed to operate the roof...............but for me nothing!!!!! Now bleeping continues everytime I turn the ignition on ......PANIC!!!
time for a cup of tea.......after 20 mins and wiping the tears from my eyes I thought I'd try again.....bugger me it all started working except the windows were out of sync, but a couple of ups and downs rectified these.
I would suggest to anyone who thinks it will be easier to clean the rear window whilst the roof is halfway open ........DONT!!!!!!

There's a link to the video on the site somewhere, but glad you sorted it out in the end. You'll just have to clean the rear window the hard way in future...much less stressful
