Does anyone know if i can get my ''passenger airbag fault '' and ''airbag fault'' turned off with a diagnostic reader , because its doin my head right in and i want to get rid of the car . Its a 2002 02 reg 2.0 se in gris iceland metallic with black leather , sp front grille and 75000 miles , also just painted all the black plastic mouldings on it so it looks alot newer . only had it since november and i cant wait till its gone . if anyone can help i'd really appreciate it

Re: Airbag fault !!
WHen I first got my car it started displaying "AIRBAG FAULT" along with a beep alarm whenever I started it. The problem was caused by a battery that was at the end of it's life - because the amps were so low, the alternator would provide a boost and this caused a voltage spike - that spike causes phantom faults and the airbag fault is a common one. The same spike also damages the ECU's in the car so if the battery isn't new, I'd definitely suggest you replace it
