Puzzling Key Fault

Can anyone help me, I have even stumped my peugeot garage!!!

My key wont unlock my 206cc by pressing the unlock but it will open it manually, once open the alarm sounds and by pressing the fob again it goes off. When I leave the car the fob locks and sets the alarm.

WTF's going on!!!!!

Any help appreciated

Have you tried a spare key or re programming it

Have only tried one key, replaced battery and reprogrammed, will try spare key in the morning see if that will do anything.

Spare key just the same, Comes up on dash "economy mode activated" and is still doing it now still no further forward
