Clutch Pedal Height Adjustment

Can anyone help ?
New to the site, just had my clutch cable changed and now the Clutch pedal is extremely high and become very uncomfortable! The guy at the garage said it cannot be adjusted due to the cable is self adjusting or something which sounds rediculus !

Can someone please confirm the clutch pedal height can be lowered to reasonable height ?

The guy at the garage is right . 206cc have a high clutch thats the way they are

Yeah, I know!
Ive just got my 206cc (just before Christmas) and I thought that the clutch was super high!!
But I cant get it changed...gutted
