Help?

Post by cookie1989 »

Hi i have a 206 CC 51 reg and have not really had any problems until today my speedometer has just stopped working. Any ideas what it could be? and what it is gonna cost me? Everything else is working okay, however the needle does not move at all it remains on zero and does not even slightly twitch.

Would be grateful for your comments.

thanks

Mine's done the same twice recently but has come back to life after a couple of minutes. I seem to have allsorts of things happening at the moment (warning lights, warning bonging noises and a flat battery yesterday), I'm hoping it's the cold weather that isn't agreeing with the car. Any more of this and I'll regret buying it as it seems VERY moody. Roll on summer!
Now: Audi TT Mk1 1.8T quattro (225)
Then: Peugeot 206cc 2.0 (Black/Silver special edition)

don't usually have too many problems, had it through last winter and it was okay. Unfortunately, it hasn't come back to life, its been like that for 2 days now. Gonna take it the garage at the weekend see if they can figure it out.

red kev, do you know how much roughly it would be for a new speedo cable? as a women i am bound to get ripped off by a garage
