My '02 - Reg' 206 has developed small areas of paint blistering, exposed grey metal and some rust just below the glass of the hatch door window (3-door model). These areas appear about 6 inches either side of the centre.

It is supposed to be galvanised. I suspect that the two small areas have not been fully coated and/or the paint has not adhered properly at these points allowing rust to develop.

No rust anywhere else on the car yet.

Has anyone else observed this pattern of upper-body rusting?

I suspect thumbs or some form of clip, holding the unit before painting, has caused this to happen. I think I'll ask the dealer if the 12-year galvanising warrenty will cover this.

And of course you'll need to have had your car dealer serviced as per the schedule.
