I wrote a previous post regarding my problem with my 2ltr 206cc 02plate. As yet no one has made a comment, we have now moved on again and the garage say they will get it independently checked themselves, My local garage said it was the bearing on the lower arm nearside and would cost around £200 to replace. To be quite honest the dealers who I have purchased from are not very helpful and seem reluctant to get to the bottom of the problem saying that what do you expect from an 8 year old car! Its passed its MOT so we are happy that it is safe to drive.
Any Ideas what it could be? it only happens when changing up the box from 1st to 2nd sometimes from 2nd to 3rd but mainly when you accelerate up. I had a peugeot mechanic take a test drive and it happened straight away when we left the forecourt so I know I am not going crazy! he thought it was the lower arm bearing also. Still waiting to hear from the dealer as they now have the car back again and I am driving a courtesy car new 107,
mmmm quite nice and around 50 miles to the gallon! but lacks any kind of fun factor, so I dont think I will be buying one!
thanks all
Miss BOC
Can anyone give me some advice please!
