Hello,

Could anyone help with the following please.

Just been down to the shops, car going ok but just as I got there it 'bleeped' at me, didn't really take much notice at the time.

When I came out it started fine and away we went, straight away it seemed the power was restricted and it would not accelerate properly. I then noticed the speedo was not working also there was a message saying 'airbag anomaly'. When the ignition is switched on there is a 'spanner symbol' appearing where the mileometer lives along with a '100' number, this is replaced with the mileometer reading after a few seconds. also on the left of the speedometer it's says 'airbag' against a small symbol.

Has anyone any ideas or is it down the garage for a diagnostic and money spending session.

Please help.

hey,

not if that would help but I had the same issue before and it appeared that the car dynamo cable was burned out as it is very close to the catalyzer,so the car was running on battery only.

The spanner symbol and the number is the number of miles until your next service is needed.

If the engine is in limp-home mode, I would imagine the yellow engine management light (top right-hand corner of the dials) would come on? well worth taking it to a mechanic. Nationwide Autocentre do a £50 diagnostics check, that's full price regardless of how long it takes them to find a fault and you can sometimes get a discount with an AA membership card. Could work out cheaper than taking it to the Peugeot main dealer.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
