I got excited briefly, then saw it from another angle and wasn't so sure. It looks good, but has anyone seen one "in the flesh" yet?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.

They are rather gorgeous. I got an invite to go and have a look from the dealer who sold me my 206cc but 20 grand is a bit out of my price range.

There's one other thing that puts me off....it's not a convertible!

I'm really serious about going to have a look and will call the nearest dealers monday, I agree the roof is a drawback, but I could live with that... Must dash my 206cc is peeping through the window, I dont want her getting huffy! :D

I drove my 206cc home from work today with the roof down. First sunny day for a little while and I don't think I could ever buy another non-convertible.

I saw a BMW 1 series convertible the other day and I think that is going to be my next car in 3 years.

Looks nice, but then I looked at a 308cc next to it and kind of thought whats the point. I mean it looks great, but it isnt that diffierent to a 308CC to look at. You can get the roof down on the CC. I am sure driving conoseurs will say it handles better than the cabrio, but theres nothing like getting the roof off is there? The 308 CC Just needs the window pillars sprayed silver and it would look just as good. Might have to do it to my 206, Errr maybe not.

Quite a few of my friends say it has a cheap look of the Audi TT, I've only had my 206cc since march and am already bored with the ability of taking the roof off :D :D All these 307cc and others lack the 206cc dinky and bubble like shape, they look more like your bog standard private taxi...lol :D
Each to their own I suppose...

I think the RCZ is what I would call an "It" car. A fashionable car. The Fiat coupe, Audi TT, 1st BMW mini and to some extent even the 206CC when it came out were all "It” cars. Many buyers brought them because they were the car of the moment and not for what the car could offer them as an owner.

"It" cars at the moment seem to be Scirroco, R8, DS3 and RCZ, I like the look of the RCZ but ultimately other than being a talking point in the work car park I kind of wonder what else it has to offer. There are better handling and fun cars for the money and yet you can get a 308CC for the same money. The 308 in any guise is not the best drive in the world, but having the option to lower the roof makes a rather dull riding car lots of fun IMO.

Mind you with weather like today may as well have an RCZ.

I agree Ollie. It is a lovely looking car. When I saw the ad....I thought "oooohh i want one!!!" but I couldnt go back to not having a convertible. I like audi's and wouldnt mind getting the new shape TT or an a3 or a4 cabriolet. But after having my pug for the past 3 years and it being a work in progress, she is my pride and joy and just couldnt bear to part with her just yet!!! I had her after having a little silver saxo and I used to hate having to wind the sunroof open. I always wanted the novelty of pushing that button and the skies appearing above you. Nothing gives you a better feeling I reckon :) Still puts a smile on my face!! :)
What's better than having your roof down, hair down and music turned up?!! m/(>_<)m/
