Hi,

Just ordered my 4in devil backbox for my 2 litre cc. Cost me £190 + 12pp. There were 2 available, both 4" but one has smaller silencer and louder sound.

If anyone needs any help on these give me a shout.

Steve

Call 01619456013. That will put you in contact with Automotif which are the UK suppliers for Devil exhausts.

http://automotif.co.uk/cgi-bin/partno.c ... tno=50289N

will get you to the loud one they make. They make a quieter version too

Hope that helps

Dunno if anyone is interested or not...

The DEVIL exhaust arrived yesterday. A mate of mine who is an exhaust fitter by trade put it on for me in about 30 mins. He said it was the best fitting replacement exhaust he had ever put on. It cost me a Mc Donalds and a couple of pints of John Smith to get him to fit it.

I started it up and it sounded deeper at tick over. I gave it a few short 5 min journeys and it got deeper each time...so I took it for a proper rag up to Buxton. Now its loud. Dunno how legal it is though....it had a sticker on the box saying 'Not for road use'. Its basically a straight through pipe with a silencer surrounding it.

Throttle response feels better, pick-up in the higher gears is better. Dunno what power gains it has given me....i guess you normally see about 5-10% power gain from sports exhausts so do the maths.

If anyone wants any info on this mail me at lomax30@hotmail.com.

Cheers

Steve

Hi all

I had the quiter version of this exhaust fitted to my 206GT and it was not that loud to be honest. You could not hear it at all during motor way running and the sound was only really there when accelerating but only really during the climb to 4000 revs and then faded away after that.

When motionless if you revved the engine you could hardley hear the exhaust also, but I do agree that the car felt quicker and picked up better.

I think quiter model is the one supplied by Peugeot and Pug-Gti (Simon), correct me if im wrong Simon.

If you are considering putting a devil exhaust (which are being recommended as being the best for the Pug)on your car and want a deep throaty roar then DONT go for the quite version.

Im planning on getting the devil exhaust for my CC and will definatly go for the louder model, but thats just my preference. Once I have done this I will be able to compare the two a bit better.

Just my two pennith

Sam,

Glad i made the choice for the louder one then. Before this car I had a clio 1.4. I fitted a peco backbox and it took 10,000 miles before the noise kicked in properly. I put the devil on and it instantly roared - but not as much as the peco. I think that this will improve as I put more miles on the clock and generally thrash the engine.

The DEVIL purrs at tick over and gives a deep noise around 3000 revs in all gears. When i have pushed the engine hard for a bit it really starts to roar high up in the revs. If i drive it normally it is quiet when driven above 4000 revs.

My advice to people is that the only way to make it sound truely decent is regularly take your car out for a proper spanking (twisty counrty roads tend to force you to do this - plenty of gear changing and engine braking). This will break your exhaust in, in no time.

Will post an update in a few weeks when I have put a few more miles on the clock - then i will see how happy I am with it.

Cheers

No pics as yet

I am waiting for a day off when the weather is half decent so I can get some photos done of it.

It is a moonstone blue 2 litre with the following:

SP grill
Quad Headlight conversion
Wheel Arch conversion
Lexus light conversion
Full black leather interior
4" devil non-homgenous exhaust

In the next few weeks all of the spare ice i have sitting in my house is getting installed. It will have 2X8" tubes connected to a bridged genesis (1000W) sub amp. Focal components up front connected to a soundstream amp. All sourced from a £1200 competition Sony head unit.

Wicked eh??? Expect pictures soon

Laterz

Kenny components in the rear should be nice....where abouts will you fit the tweeters in the rear? I dunno how big the rears are - I asked the dude the sorts my installs out and he didnt know off the top of his head either.

I can well recommend focal components - had them in the front of my last car and the were loud...and never distorted.

Enjoy the bass

Hi all

Ok I have gone ahead and ordered the louder version of the Devil exhaust from automotif.

Once I have had it fitted and have run it in (give the car a good spanking, I think the phrase is  ) I will let you all know how it stands up against the standard version.
